The City of Markesan in Green Lake County is looking to hire a part-time Deputy Clerk/Treasurer. 


The position will consist of approximately 24 hours per week. The Deputy Clerk/Treasurer will work under the supervision of the City Clerk/Treasurer. This position performs a variety of responsibilities including but not limited to: assistance in elections, licensing and permits, accounting and clerical functions in accordance with the State Statutes and City Ordinances. 


Qualifications: 

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree or equivalent experience

• Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or office management

• Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel)

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• Strong organizational, multitasking, and attention-to-detail abilities

• High degree of integrity and ability to handle confidential information with discretion


Wages range depending on experience and the City is offering a generous paid-time-off package for this position.

Crossing Guards Needed!!!!!


The City of Markesan is in need of one regular and several substitute Crossing Guards for the 2025-2026 school year.


A regular guard will work from approximately 7:30am to 8:10am and 2:50pm to 3:20pm each day school is in session (except early release days). A substitute guard will fill scheduling gaps on an "on-call" basis when a regular guard is unavailable for a shift.
